Tip From the Archives
Copycat
Problem
You just do not feel good about your swing overall.
Cure
Find a tour player on television with a similar build to your own. Try to copy their swing.
Therapy
As you watch a tour player, first notice their tempo and then swing plane. Memorize their swing and begin to visualize yourself making a similar swing. Now, practice this swing without a club as you are watching them play. As soon as you can, go out and practice it with a club. Do not think about trying to kill the ball or just hitting the ball. Only work on trying to match their swing plane and tempo. If you can match these two major points, you are well on your way to a natural flowing swing.
Doesn't even have to be a tour player. Go to your local range and find somebody with a great swing and just watch them. I did this once and watched this guy for about 30 minutes - he probaby thought I was a little weird but he had a swing I would die for. I visualized his tempo and it really helped me.
I agree I watched an 18 year old who's swing was quite impressive.(I am 38) but after watching him for a while, I mimicked his swing, weight shift etc... and found a groove of my own. I have added at least 20yds to my drive.
