Coin Drill

Problem

You need a smoother putting stroke.

Cure

Make sure you take your wrists out of your putting. Think of your shoulders, arms, hands, and putter all moving as one solid unit.

Therapy

Place a small coin or ball marker on the flat surface of your putter and try to putt without it falling off. The coin will fall off you are hitting at the ball instead of making a smooth stroke. You might find it handy to repeat this drill on the practice green before each round.
