Bermuda Pitch

Problem

You have a pitch shot out of the thick rough from an uphill lie.

Cure

Sometimes in the thick Bermuda rough, you will find it easier to hit it so the club moves a little under the ball. If you are not used to hitting from this kind of rough, take moment out of your game as you play to swing through it, even if your ball is not sitting in it. This way when you do get stuck in this thick rough, you will have a better feel for the shot.

Therapy

Narrow your stance. Play the ball back in your stance. Although this is a short shot, you do want to remember to make and aggressive swing to get through the thick grass. Be certain to complete the follow through. The more the ball is sitting in the grass, the more you want to make sure the end of the grip leads through the shot with an aggressive swing.
