Bad Clubs

Problem

There are several clubs in your bag that you do not feel comfortable playing and you do not have time to practice them before your next round.

Cure

Play smart and strategize how you can use your favorite clubs as much as possible.

Therapy

How much distance control do you have with these clubs? Think about your yardages with each of these clubs to get a good idea where there are gaps between these distances. Maybe you fill them in by adding or reducing loft with these clubs. Plan on laying up a lot if one of your wedges is your favorite. This will allow you to have better control over where the ball lands on the green for less strokes overall. If you have time, look over the scorecard before you head out to the course. Some courses have detailed scorecards online. Use this as a guide to help you plan out your shots.
